The Mommy Village Branding With a Portrait Creator
A few weeks ago I was asked to create a logo for a community of moms by marketing specialist and mommy, Nikita Jackson. Nikita started the Facebook group to give moms (especially moms of color) a place to support eachother. The first idea that popped in my head was to use organically drawn images of family and a group of women to give the brand it's very own personality.
It's good to know that in this world of designers there are creatives that specialize in just about anything. Meaning, I didn't want to physically have to draw anything nor did I want to hire an illustrator.
To get the look I wanted, I found this portrait creator by designer Lisa Glantz. I love it because you can choose what you want the characters to wear, change their hair color, skin color and more. This particular set of hers comes equipped with women and men of different sizes, kids of all ages, and pets with various elements you can do with them. It reminds me of when I use to play with paper dolls and dress them up, except now I can do it digitally.
There's a ton of things you can design with this kit. Look at the examples below...
There's also a baby kit!
