Brand Crush: Rifle Paper Co. & Keds Collab

This maybe one of Rifle Paper Co.'s dopest collabs yet. Rifle Paper Co. is a stationery and gift shop known for their heartfelt notecards, quirky journals and iconic illustrations and patterns by owner, Anna Bond. This week, I was ecstatic to hear of Rifle Paper teaming up with Keds to bring you a fall floral collection of shoes. I haven't worn Keds in forever but this collaboration has me wanting to grab every single pattern and style. Which ones are your fave?

Vegan Non-Toxic Polish and Fall Nail Colors

Now that my family and I have been staying conscious about what we eat, I've also been trying to stay conscious of what we put on our body. I noticed that when I take out polish remover and polish around the hubz and kids, they hate the strong smell of the chemicals involved. I never  thought about how the smell takes over the house and how it could be affecting them when they breath it all in. So, I prepared myself to start changing my purchases and discovered animal cruelty free / non toxic free polish. Today, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite vegan nail polishes by other creatives and entrepreneurs. As you know, I'm very inspired by color as well as supporting female entrepreneurs here in the diary. Below are my top picks for Fall including the first 3 that are mixed by fellow girl bosses.

My Favorite Color | Lemon Drop Logic by Pear Nova

There’s nothing wrong with bold pops of color during fall. This yellow is popping! The last color I got from Pear Nova was "It's Summer Somewhere", an orange color. It was my first vegan polish purchase. Pear Nova is also a black owned business, by the way, found by Chicago creative, Rachel James. You may know her from the TV show, Black Ink Chicago.

My Favorite Color |  Rose Gold by Addrianne K on Etsy

My Favorite Color | Amethyst by Roxx Nail Polish on Etsy

If you're into crystals, you'll love Roxx polishes because they're infused with crystals. Emotionally, amethyst is used in crystal healing to help heal personal losses and grief. Amethyst has a gently sedative energy that can promote peacefulness, happiness and contentment.

All About Those Planners by ANNOUNCE DIVINELY

Last week I got a newsletter in my inbox from one of my favorite stationery designers, Ebony Nichols, she's been featured here a few times and I thought I'd share her planners here too.

All her planners are in notepad format making them quick to grab and write in. Each one fits a very specific purpose, and they are her bestsellers!

Here's each planner below and her description of each

PERFECT FOR: THE DEEP THINKER

"The It's Done Darling is the OG of the planner game at Announce Divinely. It is pink all over and designed to help you figure out your daily goals with a little introspection thrown in for good measure." - Ebony of Announce Divinely

PERFECT FOR: THE DO-IT-ALL COLLEGE GIRL

"During undergrad, I was very nerdy about my classes, but I also participated in a lot of campus activities and organizations. And let's just say that I may have forgotten a test or meeting or two. The Chic Collegiate is the perfect place to jot everything down so those undergrad years don't seem too chaotic." - Ebony of Announce Divinely

PERFECT FOR: THE BUSY SORORITY GIRL

“I'm a sorority girl, so I understand how hectic that life can be. So much info, and those chapter minutes end up folded up in the bottom of your bag, never to be seen again...but your committee chair has texted you twice to see if you did that thing you were supposed to do...yep, The Sorority Daybook will keep you organized. These make great Big Sis/Lil Sis and Initiation gifts, and can be used for any organization.”- Ebony of Announce Divinely

PERFECT FOR: THE ON-THE-GO-MOM

“My sister is the inspiration for this planner (I don't think she knows it...but she's subscribed to this newsletter, so there's that). She is an amazing mom, wife, sister, and daughter, and she simply DOES. IT. ALL. The Mommy Manager is perfect to help organize all those-to-do lists into something cute and hand-sized.” - Ebony of Announce Divinely

PERFECT FOR: TEACHERS AND ASSISTANTS

“Teachers are the real MVPs. So much happens between 8am and 3pm each day. I'm sure EVERY teacher could write a New York Bestsellers novel. The Prepped Teacher is the perfect tool to keep the day as structured as possible. Especially since Little Timmy thinks it's okay to slide down the hall on his backpack.” - Ebony of Announce Divinely

PERFECT FOR: THE ACTUAL OR INSPIRING WORK OUT DIVA

“Working out is hard to do. Remembering to drink your water is way harder than remembering to drink your iced caramel lattes. The Spotter is a fitness companion that has all the space for you to record what you've done that day. Those 50 squats didn't do themselves. You did that! The Spotter is there so you won't forget that amazing workout you did last Tuesday.”  - Ebony of Announce Divinely

Just in case you're not following Ebony... (Sideeye… this is where you choose to do so, lol @announcedivinely

Brand Crush: Prada Candy Sugar Pop Perfume

As a creative and graphic designer, products with great packaging always catch my eye. If anything, it is one of the top reasons why I'll likely purchase what ever it is I think I'm in need of at the time.

Today's "Brand Crush" shout out goes to Prada Candy Perfume. My favorite of them all is Prada Candy Sugar Pop which was released earlier this year. I love the s mell, it's kind of sweet and tart (if that makes sense), and it's perfect for spring/summer. But, what really has me in love with it, is the cute bottle inside the cute box which gives me all the feels of cotton candy.

The Prada Candy line has other perfumes, but this one is by far my fave...

Here are the other Prada Candy Perfumes. Have you tried any?

Tuesday Take Out: PS.NY

Remember when I told you design is everywhere. I'm in love with photographer and artist, Olia of PS.NY. She makes you just want to stare at food and not even eat it. She has intertwined her passion for vegan cooking with her work, creating breath taking images with a pup named Cookie on the side. He's the most adorable thing ever. Each pic below will take you to her recipe. As for me I just want to admire the images.
